Fitness and Fun for Little One's

Welcome to Active Tots

ActiveTots provides fun fitness/activity/skills classes for toddlers and preschool children aged 2 to 5 years old. The classes are specifically designed to encourage and develop 4 key core areas: A, B, C and F - Agility, Balance Coordination and Fun.

The classes are structured to be high energy, lots of enjoyment and most of all fun! They will help develop multiple key skills, encourage teamwork, individual performance and fitness values. Through a variety of different classes your child will learn many vital multi sport skills to include throwing, catching, jumping, footwork and hand-eye coordination. These skills will be enhanced through games, play and circuits with the main emphasis throughout being on FUN! The classes will be small, maximum of 10 per class therefore allowing personal skill development and plenty of 1:1 interaction and attention.

The A, B and C key core components will be fundamental to your child’s continued physical development and vital for future health and sporting challenges. The fun, group classes will also develop social interaction skills and confidence that will greatly benefit your child now and in the future.

On a more serious note but equally as important with child obesity at an all time high and many government/NHS warnings on the dangers to our children of obesity and inactivity the classes introduce health and fitness values that will benefit your child for life and give them the best possible start. While we don’t claim to solve the serious problem of child obesity and inactivity we do highlight the fun side of fitness and activity.

ActiveTots will introduce key basic skills and fitness values and then develop these skills further, giving your child the best possible start. The skills and fitness developed will be used and benefit your child now and throughout there lives.

The Classes are divided into age groups and the structure is highlighted below:

2 to 3½ Years –
The youngest members of ActiveTots take part in structured classes that introduce and develop our A, B and C key core skills of agility, balance and coordination in a fun environment. Toddlers will be encouraged to participate in games, challenges, races and circuits etc building not just the A, B and C but also social skills and teamwork.
The 30 minute classes involve full parent participation, all equipment is supplied and involves parachute games, relays, playground favourites and lots more……

3½ to 5 Years –
The oldest members of ActiveTots take part in classes that carry on from where the youngsters left off. We take our A, B and C to the next level, encourage more individual participation and build upon the key skills introduced at the toddler classes. Of course we always welcome newcomers and make sure they quickly feel at home within the ActiveTots classes and setup. We up the fitness element of these structured classes without losing the all important Fun element.
Parent involvement is welcome but not essential in these 45 minute classes, we work on developing skills and confidence both individually and again through teamwork. All equipment is again supplied and classes involve circuits, team games and lots more……
